BAP: Band Assignment Parser

The process of identifying band assignments in research publications is a time-consuming task. The Band Assignment Parser processes research publications to identify sentences likely to contain assignment information. In benchmark tests the method identified almost 100% of band assignments in a corpus of 20 papers, while removing 88% of uninformative sentences, representing a considerable time saving. As reported in "The Band Assignment Parser: A Tool To Identify Band Assignments in Research Publications" by Paul D. Dobson and Ewan W. Blanch (Faculty of Life Sciences, The University of Manchester, Manchester, UK) Applied Spectroscopy 61 [X] xxxx-xxxx (2007)
