To subscribe to any online journal or purchase an article using document delivery users must register with Ingenta to obtain a Ingenta Identification Number. (CID) (It is not necessary to register with Ingenta in order to browse free or sample material, view contents pages or use the search facility.)
In registering an institutional site, users may elect to control access using either IP address or username/password validation.
In registering as an individual user, access is controlled by username/password validation.
Libraries and end users need only register once; their Ingenta ID Number can be linked to any electronic journal on Ingenta that they have a subscription to.Users need to quote their Ingenta ID Number to either the Publisher or Subscription Agent when arranging their electronic subscriptions.
