Call for Recommendations
Applied Spectroscopy Outreach Program
Dear SAS Member,
Greetings from the Society for Applied Spectroscopy. In 2002, the SAS Governing
Board concluded that there was a need to reach those colleagues in low income
countries who cannot afford membership in SAS but who would benefit greatly by
having access to the journal, Applied Spectroscopy. We implemented this new
outreach program to great success. As such, we would like to continue this on an
on-going basis.
Each regular SAS member has the opportunity to recommend one deserving and
financially needy individual for membership in SAS. This membership would
include all the benefits that a paying member receives except the printed
version of the journal. Instead, they would be given online access only. If you
would like to recommend someone for this special membership opportunity please
fill out the following form and return it to us. No recommendations will be
refused. We hope that by reaching out to the community in this way we can help
fulfill the Society's mission of education. If you nominated someone last year,
that person will continue to receive that free membership and you may nominate
another individual.
