SAS National Awards

 

Honorary Membership Award

Honorary Membership is the highest award the Society can bestow. This award recognizes individuals for their exceptional contributions to the field of spectroscopy through teaching, research, or other professional activities that advance both the art and science of spectroscopy. Awardees are granted a lifetime membership in the Society.

 

Distinguished Service Award

The Distinguished Service award recognizes individual members for their long-time service to the Society. Awardees help maintain the Society by supporting it’s mission, growth, and financial stability. Recipients of this award are granted a lifetime membership in the Society.

 

Fellowship

Fellowship recognizes individual members for their combined efforts in advancing spectroscopy and service to the Society. Fellows help grow both the field of spectroscopy through teaching, research, or other professional activities and serve the Society by supporting its mission, growth, and financial stability.

 

Emeritus Membership Award

Emeritus Membership may be conferred upon members who have retired from active scientific endeavor, who have contributed to spectroscopy, and were active members of the Society for at least 15 years. The Award consists of an engraved plaque and a lifetime membership in the Society.
