SAS Technical AwardsApplied Spectroscopy William F. Meggers AwardThis award is given to the author(s) of the outstanding paper appearing in Applied Spectroscopy. It is awarded at the Society for Applied Spectroscopy award ceremony held at the fall meeting following the calendar year of publication and shall consist of a scroll and an honorarium of $3500.00. SAS/NASLIBS AwardThis award is given to the author(s) of the outstanding LIBS paper appearing in Applied Spectroscopy. It is awarded at the Society for Applied Spectroscopy award ceremony held at the fall meeting following the calendar year of publication and shall consist of a plaque. This award is selected by a committee and no outside nominations are accepted.
Lippincott AwardThis award is given to honor the memory of Ellis R. Lippincott. The award is sponsored jointly by the Society for Applied Spectroscopy, the Coblentz Society, and the Optical Society of America. The recipient of the award shall have made significant contributions to vibrational spectroscopy. These contributions may be theoretical, experimental, or both, as well as basic or applied. A $1500 award is included along with an engraved crystal box.
Bruce R. Kowalski Award in ChemometricsPresented in honor of the legacy of Professor Kowalski by recognizing outstanding young researchers in the field of chemometrics and by extension, for advanced mathematical and/or statistical methods in chemistry. Click for more details.
