Identification of Trace Amounts of Organophosphorus Pesticides by Frustrated Multiple Internal Reflectance Spectroscopy

The technique of frustrated multiple internal reflectance is employed for the identification of trace amounts of organophosphorus pesticides eluted from column, paper, or thin-layer chromatograms. The high sensitivity, the ease of sample manipulation and the applicability to solid and liquid samples give the FMIR technique note-worthy advantages over transmission techniques.
