Simple Low Temperature Diffractometer Specimen Mount

Volume 13, Number 3 (June 1959) Page 79-80

Baun, William L.

A number of devices for obtaining x-ray diffraction photographs at low temperatures have been described in the literature. Usually, however, these devices have been applied to single crystal cameras (1) or to Debye-Scherrer powder cameras (2). It is the purpose of this note to describe a simple x-ray diffractometer specimen mount in which the temperature may be varied from room temperature to liquid nitrogen or helium temperatures.
