In this paper we present a study of different existing techniques which are used in fluorescence decay spectroscopy and are based on time-interval measurement. An improvement in some of these techniques is obtained by deducing more general expressions applicable to them. By using computer simulation methods the accuracies of these techniques are studied and compared.
