Modification of Water Line on Source Unit of Cary Spectrophotometer to Facilitate Replacement and Realignment of Source
Volume 17, Number 1 (Jan. 1963) Page 26-26
Difficulties experienced in mounting and orienting new hydrogen source lamps on the Cary model No. 11 uv spectrophotometer have been overcome by a simple modification of the cooling water lines attached to the lamp. Short lengths of Tygon tubing originally used for connecting the envelope of the source lamp to the cooling water supply are inflexible enough to cause considerable strain on the glass tube connectors when orienting the source with the optical path.
