Speed Mentoring is a fun, fast past session that enables a structured interaction with a dozen or more spectroscopists from various industries, academia, and government labs that enable the mentees to get an understanding of what it’s like to work in those areas.  These interactions can be the basis of an ongoing mentoring relationship session if that is of interest and is a wonderful networking opportunity for job hunting or just getting a better understanding of life as a spectroscopist.  The session has settled in to a Monday lunch time slot and will continue again at the Scix19 conference in Palm Springs.  Please sign up at the Coblentz website at members.coblentz.org.  You can also register by checking the signup check box on the SciX19 registration form so we have an accurate number for ordering lunches that are provided.

Mentees will have the opportunity to meet chemists from various phases of industry, academia and government labs and discuss career options in those fields and what it is like to work in those environments.

Mentors will have the opportunity to share your work experiences with young analytical chemist eager to learn about career opportunities and the best way to pursue them. It’s a great way to share your experiences with the next generation of spectroscopist!

You can also register on-line for the Speed Mentoring session at the Coblentz website at  members.coblentz.org.  Those who register will get a free boxed lunch!  Please Register for the 2018 Speed mentoring!
